YOTR takes trip to Creation Museum
On August 8th Youth on the Rock took a big field trip to southern part of Ohio, near the state line, in Petersburg Kentucky. The youth went to the Creation Museum, a museum that is based on Biblical facts and depicts stories from the bible and also disproving evolution. We all gathered at the church at an early 6am with everyone sporting their white YOTR shirts and we made the long trek to Kentucky. Arriving at 10:30 ish the first thing we were able to see was a short film called "Men in White". It was a very entertaining and informative program that opened everyone's eyes on how the Darwin theory of evolution is portrayed. Using the Bible and it's facts, it proved how untrue Darwin's logic is of man evolving from an ape. After the film we were then able to take a walk through the Bible where life like statues portrayed Adam and Eve in the awesome scene of Eden. Many of the kids agreed how real everything looked. Being able to get a visual, along with descriptive facts, gave us an opportunity to see the Bible opened up to our very eyes. There was scenes of Noah and the story of the Ark. They even had a 1% portion of what the Ark would have looked like and you were able to walk and touch the reproduction of it. Also along the way their were fossils of dinosaurs and full scale statues of these enormous creations. Using scripture, it talked about how man walked in the day that these behemoths were alive. This part of the trip was a favorite among the younger youth in the group. There was a 20 minute movie shown called the "Last Adam" that was heart wrenching as it talked about Jesus being the Last Adam and gave a more insight into the crucifixion. After the walk through the Bible portion of the museum we then went outside where the museum was beautifully landscape with plants and flowers that we don't normally see in Bucyrus. The kids had a blast walking on the rope made bridge that seemed a mile long and very narrow. It looked like something out of an "Indiana Jones" movie. We then made our way to the petting Zoo where they had a wide variety of God's creatures from a half horse half zebra to a wild wart hog. Although friendly some of the kids were afraid to touch the animals. We then went back to the Museum where we watched a feature about space. In an amphitheater that had
seats that reclined back and the roof was a big dome it gave a spectacle about how huge God created this enormous universe and we realized just how small we are in contrast to the moon, stars, and planets in the sky. There was so much to see and learn that it was definitely an educational experience for our YOTR. I strongly encourage and recommend that everyone should visit this facility at least once. For Youth on the Rock it was a memory that we will be able to reflect on for a long time. Lastly it proved to us that it goes to show just how Awesome our God and his Creation really is.

Youth Labor Day picnic
On Monday, September 1st, Youth On The Rock Leader Juan Camacho Jr. invited the youth members and their parents to his home in Upper Sandusky for a picnic cookout and games. Food, fun, and fellowship were enjoyed by many of the young people and their parents, including an afternoon filled with volleyball, the sport of choice at the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Church. Pictured to the left is Youth Leader, Juan Camacho, and one of the youths, Brother Justin Feight. Pictured to the right are a couple of the sisters feet following a few games of volleyball. The first questions asked by the sisters was whether or not we were going to have a feet washing following the evening's festivities. The young people have had a very busy summer, which included fund raisers, Vacation Bible School, trips, special services, not to mention weekly Sunday School and Youth Groups. Thank the Lord that the youth have grown closer, stronger, and continue to grow in numbers as they reach out to their friends at school. Several schools are represented in the youth group including: Bucyrus, Wynford, Northmor, Galion, and Colonel Crawford.

Stones On Mt. Olives
Legion & Prodigal's Home
On Sunday, September 14th, the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Church celebrated their yearly Homecoming by welcoming special guests and old friends for a day of fellowship, food, and service. The day's festivities began by a special word of testimony from former Pastor Clifton Thompson, who pastored the Church for one year back in the late 70's. Brother Thompson is pictured to the right with current Pastor, Eric Boggs. Local singer/song writer Mike Marshall ministered to the congregation before Pastor Bobby Day from Providence Free Will Baptist Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky preached on the homecoming of Legion and the Prodigal Son. A homecoming meal was provided between services in the fellowship hall. What can a dollar buy? Teens discover what God can do with just one George
On August 24th Brother Juan Camacho Jr. challenged his teen Sunday School class to a "Dollar Challenge". Each were given one dollar with the challenge to see who can make the most impact for God's kingdom. They were not allowed to use the dollar for themselves, but they had to come up with a unique way to make use of their dollar. Pictured are the teens that participated. Jazmin Shoultz  used her dollar to buy the needed supplies to advertise her baby sitting services in which she would donate the proceeds to the youth group. Sarah Parr used her dollar to buy a paint brush to use on a bird house that the youth are working on as a future fund raiser. Justin Feight kept his dollar in his Bible as a book mark waiting for God to show him what to do with it, but recently the dollar was stolen out of his Bible. His hope is that whoever took it read the scriptures enough to make an impact that would bring conviction on the one who had taken it. D.J. Hammock and Jesse Arnett went together and bought a couple Bibles with their dollar then took them to a local nursing home and donated them to someone who didn't have a Bible. Nikita still has her dollar and is waiting on the Lord to show her what to do with it. You never know what big things God can do with something small. The youth shared their dollar stories with the church on Sunday, September 28th. Stay tuned because another challenge will be issued to the teens in the next couple of weeks.

Youth On The Rock ride in Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival Parade
On Saturday August 16 our very own Youth on the Rock participated for the second year in a row in the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival. For this years float the youth spent countless hours taking on a huge paper mache project. They used old newspapers, flour, and different colors of paint to create a huge mascot type of rock that covered the majority of, Assistant Pastor, Lyle Arnetts trailer. We wanted something that could catch the attention of our community, also something that could describe our group. The float was decorated also with a banner on each side of the trailer that had the name out youth group along with an American flag and a Christian flag that adorned the back end of the float. In the very front of the trailer we had a huge wooden cross that lead the way. Some of the younger kids rode on the float, some walked along, while we all sang "This Little Light of Mine". We could see many people in the crowd singing along with us as we professed our Christian belief. Some stood in honor of the flags by taking off their hats and saluting them. Our Church and youth name were announced on three different occasions as people took notice. All in all it was a fun for the kids, a great way to get out name out to the community, and another opportunity to lift up our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. - Submitted by Juan Camacho Jr.

Bucyrus visited by State Executive Edwin Hayes
On Sunday, October 12th, Brother Edwin Hayes, the Executive Director of the Ohio State Association of Free Will Baptists was in attendance during morning worship service for a day of learning, and worship. Brother Hayes was asked to teach the Sunday School lesson, Why I am a Free Will Baptist, in which he did. The lesson was recorded and is available for your listening pleasure by clicking on the link provided to the right. You can also listen to this lesson while enjoying the provided outline by clicking on the Beliefs link provided above. Following Sunday School, Brother Hayes preached the message, The Prodigal Leaves Home, giving the congregation a fresh perspective of what was internally happening to the young man, as well as the father, when he made the poor choice to leave home and then the good choice to come back home. A link to this message is also provided to the right. We thank both Edwin, and his wife Linda (pictured on the right) for attending Sunday morning worship service and for everything they do for the state of Ohio and Free Will Baptists.

Fall Fellowship held at Brother Eric and Sister Nancy's house
On Saturday, October the 18th, the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Church family and friends visited Pastor Eric and wife Nancy Boggs’ house in Galion, Ohio for a night of fun, food, and fellowship. Our yearly Fall Fellowship is always a treat to look forward to, and this year was no exception. First the teenagers met early to play volleyball, and then the rest of the congregation followed with food. After a heart dinner was enjoyed, Brother Eddie Haney fired up the ol’ John Deer for hay rides through the more than 25 acres of woods (pictured to the right and having a little trouble finding the clutch). Once the sun set, there was one last “spooky” hay ride for the teenagers before everyone gathered around the camp fire for a little warmth. Pastor Eric shared a testimony, and some of the sisters sang some hymns before everyone called it a night. This year the children participated in a pumpkin judging contest where the pumpkin with the most creativity, spirituality, and colorfulness would be awarded as first prize. Darrin Bigler won first prize, Aidan Boggs won second, and young Kadence Bigler was awarded third. They received their ribbons the next morning following Sunday School (pictured to the left).
New members honored
On Sunday, November the 2nd, the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Church body welcomed in seven new members to the fold. Three of these members joined back in May, with the other four joining during the previous night's business meeting, which was Saturday, November 1st. Six of these seven members were in attendance on Sunday, November 2nd, and were honored by the church with a new King James 1611 Bible, Church Covenant book mark, and Membership Certificate. They were all given the right hand of fellowship as the church sang and rejoiced while embracing them with fellowship. The six in attendance are pictured to the left, starting on the far left, Brother Tony Napier, Sister Jenny Napier, Sister Teresa Shultz, Sister Mary Feight, Brother David Crank, and Sister Dora Crank. Not pictured is Brother Justin Feight, who had to work, but was given his membership gifts during the Sunday Evening Worship Service. Brother Justin is the youngest member of the Church and has also announced his calling to preach and has been doing so since June. There are now currently 68 members at the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Church. All members receive the privilege of holding offices in the church if they are qualified as well as the opportunity to vote on all issues that are brought before the body during business meetings.
