There are several ministries in which the Ladies Auxiliary head, including the church's food pantry. Although this is a ministry supported by the church, it is headed up by the Ladies Auxiliary. During times of need, baskets (boxes) of food are gathered together from the pantry, and are taken to families, and or individuals who are in need. Every year, the Ladies Auxiliary also have a spaghetti dinner in which the proceeds go to help different ministries within the group. The proceeds acquired from the dinner in 2007 went to help support the Youth Group and their Project Love Alicia's House. The ladies also have a Christmas Party every year. Ouside of good food and fellowship, each month's meeting has scripture reading as well as a volunteer led devotional. If you are interested in attending a meeting, you are encouraged to do so. Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month in the Fellowship Hall. Contact President Deb Gase, or Vice President Denise Lloyd if you have any questions. |
| The Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Ladies Auxiliary Moto (Mission Statement) God the Father loves me so much that He stepped from eternity and broke into my world to express His love by sending His Son who sacrificed Himself to cover my sins. God did not extend Himself so I can hobble along in spiritual defeat or stay trapped in a mire or a cage, defining myself and my marriage by what has happened in the past or by what others might or might not say. Through Christ, I WILL NOT live in spiritual defeat. I WILL NOT ALLOW Satan a foothold in my life. I WILL NOT hover in a cage, terrified to step through the gateway of forgiveness. I WILL EMBRACE THE SPIRITUAL FREEDOM CHRIST OFFERS. |
| The ladies from the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Ladies Auxiliary invited their daughters, daughters-in-laws, mothers, and sisters to their annual Mother’s Day Banquet. An invitation was also sent to the mothers and daughters of the church. The response was exciting to say the least. Approximately seventy ladies attended the banquet.
The theme of the event was: I Believe There Are Angels Among Us. The banquet was opened with prayer and prayer requests. Prayer was led by Sister Janey Copley. Everyone sang the song I Believe There Are Angels Among Us. The next thing the ladies did was search for scriptures containing the words women and angels. The game played was Bible Bingo. Every lady was given a blank bingo paper. They would choose a book in the Bible to put a different one in each space. The first winner was Ann Clark she received tabs to put on her Bible. Then Cora Stone won a ceramic Bible. A comedy style show was performed by several young ladies in the church. The ladies included: Alexis, Christa , Carmen, Megan, Kendra, Tiara, Kapri, Ashlena, Sarah, and Marta. Everyone enjoyed their little skit. There were several other winners through the night. In fact, each person received a gift bag. Names were drawn through the event. The last adult and the last young lady names that were called received a special gift. Kendra Jarvis received a jump rope and Ashlena received an angel. The tables were decorated in angels in the clouds. Everyone received a flower and a chocolate rose. Nancy Boggs asked the blessing over the food. The food served was chicken breasts in gravy, ham, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. There were several desserts The event was organized by Betty Butler, Bessie Perry and Phyllis Morgan. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist would like to thank each lady who helped in any way. They would especially like to thank all the ladies that blessed us with their attendance. It was a time of food, fun, and great fellowship.
